about

A little about me... Besides being a Wedding Officiant, which has my full-time attention, I'm also a Licensed Veterinary Technician. I took a break from the field for a few years when I started No Ordinary Ordained, but missed it...more than I thought I would. So now I work every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from open to close, so please don't fret if I don't respond quickly on those days.

So how did No Ordinary Ordained come about? Many moons ago I could not get the wedding I wanted, so I decided then and there when the time was right I would become a Wedding Officiant so every couple could get the wedding they wanted ... not what society, tradition, or religion dictates. Finally, in December 2011, I threw open the proverbial doors and No Ordinary Ordained was hatched. I am authorized to legally officiate weddings throughout Virginia, Maryland, Washington, D.C., North Carolina, South Carolina, and most everywhere else. As for venues where I've officiated weddings, it widely varies but includes prisons, parking lots, cemeteries, wineries, historic venues, hotels, bed and breakfasts, parks, restaurants, national monuments, and just about everywhere in between.

How do I do things? Simply put, I work with you to create the wording for your ceremony, so you have full control, final approval, and will know the exact flow and wording that will be used. It's your wedding, so make sure it reflects who YOU are and what you want.

No Ordinary Ordained is a traveling Wedding Officiant serving Virginia, Maryland, Washington, D.C., North Carolina, South Carolina, and most everywhere else. I'm LGBTQ friendly, but prefer to just say I'm "love" friendly ... if you're happy, in love, and want to be married, that's what matters to me.

availability

it's never too early to book a wedding professional!

I can't tell you how often I hear how a couple wanted their friend or family member to officiate their wedding, but they could not get approved by Virginia to do so. Good news! I'm happy to work with you so your friend or family member can still "officiate" your formal ceremony. There are a couple different ways we can make it work, so please feel free to ask if this is something you're interested in.

Many wedding professional's book over a year in advance and No Ordinary Ordained is no different - especially for the popular wedding season months! My advice is if you find one you like book them as soon as possible!
